NCT WISH celebrated their 2nd debut anniversary with a successful fan meeting.
NCT WISH held NCT WISH 2ND ANNIVERSARY FANMEETING <6명의 왕자가 나에게 청혼을 하면 곤란한데요> on Feb. 21 at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, and because the performances took place on their 2nd debut anniversary both shows sold out during presale, demonstrating overwhelming popularity; fans around the world also joined via the global platforms Beyond LIVE and Weverse.
The fan meeting adopted a romance fantasy novel concept, and before the performance, fandom members, dubbed Sijuni, voted to determine the members' character settings, home kingdoms, first lines and other fan meeting elements; the first-floor aisles were dressed as a red carpet, and the stage featured a castle gate, stairs and balconies to create a banquet-hall atmosphere in detail, producing an immersive experience as if the novel's world had unfolded before fans' eyes.
As the palace doors opened, NCT WISH appeared one by one as six princes and opened the fan meeting with the stage for "Prince Ping Song," which introduced choreography using a throne and toy swords for the first time, and "To the End of the World," which featured a group ring proposal ending; throughout the show the members' varied acting and performances followed one another, earning explosive reactions with the fun of watching a musical.
In the first segment to win Sijuni princess' heart, individual missions were held for each member to showcase their charms according to the fan-selected character settings, and in the group mission to win fans' cheers, the first show performed EXO's "The Eve (前夜) (The Eve)" and the second show performed Park Ji-yoon's "Coming of Age," drawing strong responses; they also unveiled for the first time a six-member cover of EXO's "Electric Kiss," which had become a hot topic on the debut reality program NCT Universe: LASTART, heating up the venue even more.
Next, cursed by a cute spell, NCT WISH appeared in animal costumes and carried out missions to break the curse with Sijuni's support and participation, filling the venue with cheerful laughter; the members started with a game expressing proverbs with their bodies and moved around the venue, spending time close to fans through various missions that required quick thinking and teamwork, and they amplified their adorable charm by consecutively performing covers of Papaya's "Listen to Me" and TWICE's "TT," hits that swept last year.
Then NCT WISH moved the venue with a VCR message of thanks for their 2nd anniversary, unveiled the stage for "If you come at 4 (Still 3PM)" for the first time, and completed a moment like bringing a happy ending from a storybook to life when an aerial garden set decorated with artificial turf, fountains and flowers appeared as a surprise and petal confetti scented with fragrances chosen directly by fans rained down.
Finally, NCT WISH thanked fans, saying, "I can't believe it's already our 2nd debut anniversary. We have built many joyful memories with Sijuni, so these two years feel fuller and happier. We'll always work hard to be a small happiness in Sijuni's daily life, so we hope Sijuni will continue to cheer us on," and the audience did not stop supporting NCT WISH, performing collective singing, slogans and chant events.
In the encore section they continued the warm atmosphere with the stage for "3 Minutes," which saw them move through the audience and get closer to fans, and the final song "Tears Are Falling" was accompanied on screen by photos of memories from the past two years and handwritten messages from the members, bringing the 2nd debut anniversary to a more meaningful close.
Meanwhile, NCT WISH will continue with NCT WISH 1st CONCERT TOUR 'INTO THE WISH: Our WISH' at NTSU Arena in Taipei on Feb. 28.
