Broadcaster Nam Chang Hee will tie the knot with a fiancée nine years his junior.
Nam Chang Hee will hold his wedding at 6 p.m. on Feb. 22 at the Shilla Hotel Dynasty Hall in Jangchung-dong, Seoul. Close friend Cho Sae-ho will serve as master of ceremonies.
Cho Sae-ho is currently suspended from broadcasting activities; Nam Chang Hee personally asked him to host the wedding, and Cho Sae-ho is reported to have accepted after some deliberation. A representative for Cho Sae-ho also told OSEN, "Because the bond between the two is special, that's how it came about."
Born in 1982 and 43 this year, Nam Chang Hee decided to marry his fiancée, who is nine years his junior, after about four years of dating.
Nam Chang Hee announced the wedding on his radio show, saying, "I, Nam Chang Hee, am off the market. I've reached a result with that person, whom I've been seeing quietly with interest."
He added, "We have now promised to walk one path together. The date of the promise is Feb. 22. I will grow as the head of a family."
Colleagues' congratulations continued over Nam Chang Hee's wedding news. In a video released on Feb. 17 titled 'Pinkgo,' Yu Jae-seok relayed Nam Chang Hee's wedding news and said, "Finally our wife has given her blessing."
Yu Jae-seok said, "You must not let that person go," and then complimented, "Your wife is truly beautiful." Lee Dongwook also said, "I'm a witness who has watched closely by his side for a very long time; he treats her with utmost devotion, adores her and cares for her so much." In response to the heartfelt congratulations from his close colleagues, Nam Chang Hee said, "I will live well."
