'MZ wannabe icon' IVE (IVE, Ahn Yujin·Gaeul·Ray·Jang Wonyoung·Liz·Lee Seo) unexpectedly released a spoiler video of their new song.
Starship Entertainment posted a spoiler video for the title track 'BLACKHOLE' from IVE's second full-length album 'REVIVE+ (Revive plus)' on IVE's official SNS channel on the 20th.
The video opens with a shot of Liz on a bridge connecting the top floors of two towers against the backdrop of a city where darkness has not yet fully faded. Liz gazes somewhere with eyes that mix the excitement and tension of someone about to begin anew, then adds a mysterious mood with a gesture as if shooting something toward the front. In particular, the bluish pre-dawn sky and the faintly rising sunlight blended with Liz's figure, leaving a deep impression.
The short audio released with it further increased the video's immersion. IVE, which had previously offered a dreamy yet overwhelming emotion through the earlier Highlight medley, hinted at the mood of 'Blackhole' by revealing the lyric "Shall it all be sung, be done like this" in this spoiler. The lyric touches on the meaning of 'black hole,' where annihilation and creation coexist, arousing curiosity about the message that will be contained in the full song and music video.
The title track 'Blackhole' is a shuffle-based track that unfolds within a cinematic atmosphere, and its broad sense of space and cinematic sound textures are expected to maximize immersion. Also, as the title track of the second full-length album, it is expected to newly define the existence of 'we' at the center of the album's narrative.
Meanwhile, IVE will release the second full-length album 'REVIVE+ (Revive plus)' at 6 p.m. on the 23rd (KST) on various online music sites and begin official activities with the title track 'BLACKHOLE.'
