Singer Baek Z Young mentioned a past broadcast scene with fellow singer Lee Hyori and revealed their current relationship.
On the 21st, Baek Z Young's personal YouTube channel uploaded content titled "Legendary stare-down clip 'Lee Hyori vs. Baek Z Young' the truth of that day (live Q&A)." During the broadcast, when a subscriber asked, "Do you keep in touch with Lee Hyori," Baek Z Young laughed and said, "Why were you curious about that?" The production team explained, "Doesn't that clip go around a lot?" and said that the broadcast scene in which the two appeared together in the past was being reshared online.
The video that drew attention was a scene captured on the 2012 broadcast Jung Jae-hyung Lee Hyori's You & I. Baek Z Young, who appeared as a guest at the time, mentioned the "senior-junior relationship" while talking with Lee Hyori, and Lee Hyori, who debuted in 1998 as a member of the group Fin.K.L, said, "Am I the senior?" Baek Z Young replied, "Oh my, senior, what should I do. I'm older, I totally forgot." The scene at the time ended amid laughter, but the clip was recently circulated again on online communities as a so-called "stare-down" video.
Reacting to that, Baek Z Young said, "Does this clip go around? It's so funny," and added, "Fin.K.L is senior to me." Jung Seok-won mentioned Baek Z Young's history of performing in 1997 as "Trot Voice" and said, "Isn't that a debut too?" but Baek Z Young replied, "Exclude that, I must be recognized as Baek Z Young. I'm the junior."
Baek Z Young went on to describe her current relationship with Lee Hyori as, "We didn't have many opportunities to get close, and we're at a level where I can occasionally check in and ask how she's doing."
Meanwhile, Baek Z Young was born in 1976 and is a singer from Korea. After performing as "Trot Voice" in 1997, she officially debuted with her first full-length album in 1999. She married actor Jung Seok-won in 2013 and has children, and she is known through her music activities and YouTube.<
