On the 19th, TV CHOSUN's official YouTube channel for Dad and Me released an early preview video titled "Hyun Joo-yeop's son runs away?!"
In the released video, Hyun Joo-yeop is shown cleaning his son's room, who had gone to a convenience store. While cleaning, Hyun Joo-yeop saw a four-panel photo on the desk and said, "Should I pretend I didn't see it?", then began to handle the items on the desk in earnest.
At that moment, Jun-hee, who returned home, asked, "What? Why are you in there?", and Hyun Joo-yeop showed a flustered look, saying, "I was cleaning dad's room." Hyun Joo-yeop touched a rabbit keyring and asked, "What is this?", and Hyun Jun-hee reacted sensitively, saying, "Don't touch it. It's a matching one with my sister."
Hyun Joo-yeop held up the four-panel photo and asked, "What is this?", and Jun-hee resisted, saying, "It's a photo taken with (my sister). Why this?" Hyun Jun-hee confessed, "I felt a surge of anger inside. I was really angry to see someone casually put away a precious photo, a memory."
As the argument with his father Hyun Joo-yeop continued, Jun-hee went so far as to pull off his microphone and leave the house, and although Hyun Joo-yeop called, "Jun-hee," he could not catch him. Footage of Hyun Joo-yeop searching for his son was released, and their conflict will be shown on Dad and Me, airing on TV CHOSUN at 10 p.m. on the 25th.
Meanwhile, Hyun Joo-yeop shocked viewers by appearing gaunt after losing more than 40kg following allegations of negligence and abuse of power that surfaced while he was serving as a high school basketball team coach. In particular, due to that controversy, Jun-hee decided to take a leave of absence from high school because of others' scrutiny and quit basketball. He was also reported to have been hospitalized four times for insomnia, breathing difficulties and nightmares.
In a previous broadcast, when Hyun Joo-yeop asked his son, "Why do you hate going to the hospital so much?", Jun-hee said, "Because of memories of being hospitalized in a closed ward." Hyun Jun-hee revealed that of his four hospitalizations, three were in closed wards, and he recalled experiences of restrictions on bringing in electronic devices and dolls as well as isolation from the outside and limits on activities.
