The global short-form drama "The Devil's Kiss" completed a full script reading on the 19th and has embarked on its full-scale global activities.
This script reading brought together cast and crew from three countries—Korea, Thailand and Japan—to share the work's worldview and emotional arcs, and the multinational casting, including Thai actor Kongthap Peak (KONGTHAP PEAK), drew attention.
"The Devil's Kiss" is an original IP designed from the planning stage for simultaneous global expansion; it is a 50-episode OTT short-form drama. Based on a high-concept narrative that combines fantasy and romance, it implements a format optimized for global platforms.
Plus X ENM took main production responsibilities, and Chaan Creations and ThemeWork Studio participated as co-producers.
Direction is by director Park In-woo, cinematography by director Kim Seong-bok, and the script was written by CEO Kim Doyeon.
Casting news was reported by Thailand's terrestrial Channel 3HD news, demonstrating local interest. This is a rare case of a Korean short-form drama project being featured on foreign terrestrial broadcast news and is interpreted as a symbolic indicator of global expansion potential. The production also seeks differentiation by adopting a method that combines AI and live-action. CEO Kim Doyeon previously won double grand prizes at the Venice AI Film Awards and the Seoul International AI Film Festival for the previous work "Invincible."
CEO Kim Doyeon said, "'The Devil's Kiss' is a content model that starts in Korea, connects Asia and expands to global platforms," and added, "We will present a new standard for Korean short-form by combining AI technology and storytelling in our production method."
Having completed the script reading, "The Devil's Kiss" began official crank-in on the 20th and continues filming with the goal of a global release.<
