Actor Shin Sae-kyeong spoke about working with director Ryu Seung-wan, whom she met on the film "Humint."
On the afternoon of the 20th, Shin Sae-kyeong appeared as a guest on the live broadcast of MBC Radio's noon program Jeong-uiui Huimanggok Kim Shin-young imnida (abbreviated Jeonghee). Shin Sae-kyeong shared behind-the-scenes stories related to the recently released film "Humint" (director Ryu Seung-wan, provided/distributed by NEW, produced by Oeyunaegang) with DJ Kim Shin-young.
"Humint" opened on the 11th and is meeting audiences. It especially gained momentum over the Lunar New Year holiday, spreading by word of mouth and surpassing 1 million viewers. In response, Shin Sae-kyeong expressed her joy, saying, "I was so grateful. I have been doing a lot of stage greetings. We all heard the (1 million news) together on the bus while moving."
In particular, Shin Sae-kyeong drew praise for her passionate performance as Chae Sun-hwa, a North Korean foreign currency-earning hostess, in "Humint." Regarding director Ryu Seung-wan, Shin Sae-kyeong praised him, saying, "I did everything the director told me to do. He is such a good person."
Above all, she confessed that although the film received praise after release, she was nervous even from the reading. Shin Sae-kyeong admitted, "I am most afraid of readings. It was the same for 'Humint,' and no matter what drama I do, the reading is scarier than the first shoot. I still get nervous at the full readings where all the senior actors gather."
"Humint" is a work that depicts people with different objectives clashing in Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are sunk into a cold sea of ice. It is now showing at theaters nationwide.
