Comedian Kim Ji-min, 41, opened up about the difficulties of in vitro fertilization.
On the 19th, on the YouTube channel "Junho Jimin," when Lee Sang-min, formerly of the group Roo'ra, conveyed the hardships of his wife undergoing in vitro fertilization, Kim Ji-min empathized and shared her experience.
Mentioning a required test called a hysterosalpingography, Kim Ji-min said, "They injected contrast medium into the fallopian tubes, and I'm not exaggerating—it felt like a chopstick was being stuck into my uterus. It hurt so much that I screamed, 'Aack.'"
She continued, "After I finished the imaging test and came out, (my husband, Kim Jun-Ho) said, 'I had a really hard time too because I was forced to watch a video,' and I said, 'Women go through so much, so why do men get to feel pleasure?'"
Kim Ji-min and Kim Jun-Ho began a public relationship in early 2022 and married in July last year. The two previously showed on a broadcast that they visited a traditional Korean medicine clinic specializing in infertility to have a second-generation child. Kim Jun-Ho married a stage actor in 2006 and divorced in 2018; they have no children. This is Kim Ji-min's first marriage.
