HwipingRose proves contrasting charms with insertion songs in the animated film Jumbo
The animated film Jumbo opened on Feb. 18 and has been drawing audience attention, and Gonghui and Jangmi of the mixed group HwipingRose, who participated in the insertion songs, are showing contrasting charms and asserting their presence in the work.
Singer Gonghui sang "Kumpul Bocah," which was inserted into a lively, energetic festival scene in the film. His distinctive refreshing vocals and bright energy further elevated the mood of the film. Gonghui's vocals, which expressed i-dle's innocence and vibrant emotions, played a key role in bringing the work to life.
By contrast, vocalist Jangmi deeply conveyed the sentiment of the song "Always by your side," themed on the protagonist Don's mother, leaving a lasting impression. With a warm yet delicate tone, she conveyed maternal love and tenderness, stirring the audience's emotions. Jangmi's voice, flowing over quiet scenes, acts as a core element that amplifies the film's emotional impact.
The recording for the insertion songs was conducted at JG Studio. The team enhanced completeness through a stable recording environment and detailed vocal directing, capturing the know-how of the set intact.
Also, rookie singer Hyeyoon participated as a chorus, adding richness to the song.
Gonghui said he was honored to lend his voice to a work that people can laugh with and be moved by together with children, and he hoped the scenes from the film would be remembered for a long time.
HwipingRose, which traversed both brightness and sentiment within a single work, once again demonstrated its musical spectrum through this participation. Jumbo is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
