'HYBRATIN boy group' Santos Bravos (SANTOS BRAVOS) released the remix of 'Kawasaki' in collaboration with &TEAM on the 20th.
This remix is a newly reinterpreted version of 'Kawasaki,' which was released on the 30th of last month, and adds the intense vocals of &TEAM members. In addition, Japanese lyrics were added as well as Spanish·English·Portuguese, further expanding the scale of the song.
&TEAM also appears in the lyric video released along with the single. As scenes of bikes racing across a rough desert alternate with synchronized dance scenes by Santos Bravos members, &TEAM joyfully sings the Japanese parts to the rhythm.
&TEAM and Santos Bravos are groups that debuted first in Japan and Mexico, respectively, under HYBE's 'multi-home, multi-genre' strategy and are growing into global rising stars. Musical rapport between the two teams connecting Asia and Latin America and the fresh synergy that results are highly anticipated.
'Kawasaki' is a club-style dance track that adds the distinctive rhythmic feel of Brazilian music to Latin urban sound. It likens the explosive thrill of falling in love to the engine of a racing bike speeding forward. Grammy-winning producer Diplo and Bang Si-hyuk ("hitman" bang), as well as composer Johnny Goldstein and Latin Grammy-winning producer Vibarco, participated in the song's production.
As of the 20th, the original music video has surpassed 22.5 million views on YouTube and is gaining popularity. Fans' comments in a variety of languages, including Spanish, English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese, suggest the breadth of their fanbase.
Santos Bravos is scheduled to appear consecutively as a demonstration of their status as 'next-generation Latin pop stars' at Colombia's Estéreo Picnic on March 20, Mexico's Monterrey Tecate Pa'l Norte on March 29, and Guatemala's Empire Music Festival on May 1.
