Actor Kim Taeri said the first regular variety show 'After-school Teacher Taeri' was the most difficult.
Kim Taeri shared her thoughts on taking on the role of the drama club teacher at a press conference for the cable channel tvN's new variety program 'After-school Teacher Taeri,' held online on the morning of the 20th.
'After-school Teacher Taeri' is a new reality variety show about the only after-school drama class in the world, opened at an elementary school in a small village.
That day Kim Taeri first said, "I really worked hard during filming. Even when I add up all the dramas, movies and other works I've been in, I wondered, 'Could it have been this hard?' I concentrated and worked so hard on this program. I'm curious how it turned out myself," she said.
Then Kang Namdo Kang Nam drew attention by saying, "I've done a lot of variety shows, but this is the first variety show that caused so much emotional strain."
Code Kunst said, "I served as music director. 'After-school Teacher Taeri' is one of the best things I did last year. I'm proud because it was done very well," expressing his feelings on joining.
Through this variety show, Kim Taeri is taking on a regular variety role for the first time since her debut. Kim Taeri opened up, "When I first received the proposal, there was no title like 'Teacher Taeri.' It was just 'after-school drama club.' The concept of drama, the elementary students, and the keyword of a small rural school resonated with me. I felt a small thrill and joy and wondered what I could see, feel and do there in an entertaining way. So I chose it."
She continued, "While working hard, the title changed midway. I shook and said it couldn't be done. There was personal pressure, and I don't think I could have endured it without the other teachers. Having it called 'Teacher Taeri' was a bit much, but now that it's like this, I felt great burden, tension and trembling hands and feet," she said, expressing her nervous feelings.
'After-school Teacher Taeri' will premiere on the 22nd at 7:40 p.m.
