Broadcaster Park Na-rae returned home eight hours after being questioned by police over conflicts with her former managers. It is notable that this was her first questioning as a suspect.
On the 20th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul summoned Park Na-rae on charges of aggravated injury and questioned her for about eight hours.
Initially, Park Na-rae was scheduled to appear at the police station on the 12th, but she requested a postponement of the date citing poor health. Although she had been questioned previously as an accuser, this is the first time she has appeared as a suspect, drawing greater attention.
After the questioning, Park Na-rae bowed her head and apologized, saying, "I acted sincerely and answered truthfully." However, regarding the manager's allegations of power harassment and the claim that a drink was thrown, she avoided specific comments, saying, "These are matters that will be revealed through the investigation."
Previously, Park Na-rae's former managers filed complaints alleging they suffered from private work orders and assaultive behavior, charging her with aggravated injury and defamation, and Park Na-rae has countersued on charges of attempted extortion and embezzlement in the course of business.
Allegations of illegal medical procedures have also been raised, and it is reported that investigations into related individuals have been carried out, and the police said they will review whether to conduct additional investigations and the direction of the probe based on the content of that day's questioning.<
