After eyewitness reports of singer HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung's grocery store date, pregnancy rumors surfaced again, but this time they were not true.
On the 20th, a representative of HyunA's agency, Atarea, told OSEN, "HyunA is not pregnant. She has been exercising regularly and preparing an album," in an official statement.
Earlier, HyunA was spotted on video posted by an internet user on social media, capturing the grocery store date scene. The user said, "On the 17th I saw HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung at a shopping mall in Korea," and the released video showed a person presumed to be HyunA and a person presumed to be Yong Jun-hyung enjoying shopping.
HyunA wore a pink jacket, oatmeal-colored training pants and a brown cap, and Yong Jun-hyung, holding HyunA's hand, wore a gray windbreaker jacket, black pants and a black beanie.
The two walked around the mall talking without minding those around them. However, because HyunA in the pink jacket looked fuller than before, pregnancy rumors resurfaced.
This was not the first time HyunA faced pregnancy rumors. In October 2024, after the two held a rapid wedding nine months into their relationship, rumors of a premarital pregnancy surfaced because HyunA did not dance vigorously on stage.
After the wedding, when HyunA posted a photo of a dessert shaped like baby shoes on social media, pregnancy rumors flared up again, but at the time her agency denied the rumors, saying, "It is not true."
Faced with continuing pregnancy rumors, last October HyunA posted on social media, "HyunA, you ate a lot, didn't you? Pull yourself together and try a hardcore diet. You liked being bony, didn't you? Let's try it again," and uploaded photos from when she was thin.
HyunA ultimately lost 10 kg and showed a changed appearance, but she soon fainted on stage, prompting criticism that extreme dieting might have caused the fainting. After little was heard about HyunA, the eyewitness reports led to pregnancy rumors again, and her agency emphasized that this pregnancy rumor is also not true.
