Comedian Kim Jun-Ho·Kim Ji-min have begun actively preparing for a second child by attempting in vitro fertilization. The Lee Sang-min couple, who are undergoing the same process, shared each other's difficulties and formed a bond of empathy.
In a video released on the YouTube channel "Junho Jimin," the two said they had tried to conceive naturally but, after medical consultations, decided to switch to in vitro fertilization. Kim Ji-min said she decided after hearing that in the case of advanced maternal age it is better to retrieve healthy cells for the procedure.
To that end, the two even declared no drinking and no smoking. Kim Jun-Ho said, "I have stopped smoking for two weeks. This week and next week will be the last for drinking," showing his determination, and Kim Ji-min also said, "From now on I'll only drink once a week, and today is that day," which drew laughter. But when Kim Ji-min said, "I get excited thinking about a stroller," Kim Jun-Ho's eyes welled up, revealing his serious feelings.
In another video released later, 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards grand prize winner Lee Sang-min appeared and shared his experience preparing for in vitro procedures. Lee Sang-min said, "After trying it, my wife was in a lot of pain," expressing his regret, and Kim Ji-min recalled her hysterosalpingography experience, saying, "The moment they injected the contrast medium it felt like chopsticks were stuck in my uterus. It hurt so much I screamed," which surprised everyone.
Lee Sang-min said, "My wife said she had that realization at the time," expressing deep empathy, and the three comforted each other while talking about the reality that the burden on women is large during the in vitro fertilization process. However, Kim Ji-min revealed she felt hurt after the procedure when Kim Jun-Ho said, "I had a hard time watching the videos too," and Kim Jun-Ho explained, "It was a joke," but the scene was swept up in a bittersweet atmosphere. Lee Sang-min added to the laughter by raising his hand and saying, "I can't help you in this situation."
The three encouraged each other, saying, "It's hard but we're preparing together." Many have supported the unity of the Kim Jun-Ho·Kim Ji-min couple and the Lee Sang-min couple, who showed their determination toward having a second child by even giving up drinking and smoking, calling it a "Daedong unite."
