CORTIS, who are set to make a comeback in April, are aiming for a "double million seller" with their debut album.
On the 19th, according to the latest weekly album chart released by Circle Chart for the tracking period Feb. 8-14, CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho)'s debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' surpassed cumulative sales of 1.92 million copies. If it sells more than 2 million copies, the team would become the second in K-pop history to achieve a "double million seller" with a debut album.
CORTIS's steady popularity is attributed to the power of their music and performances. The album's first-week sales (sales in the week after release, according to Circle Chart) for 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' were 420,000 copies, and boosted by music show appearances it surpassed 500,000 copies in September last year. In addition, as the songs and performances spread by word of mouth, more than 1.4 million copies were sold additionally during the inactive period (Oct. 2025–Feb. 2026).
Looking at the trend since Oct. last year, U.S. activities such as iHeartRadio LIVE with CORTIS and The Zane Lowe Show, the halftime show at Korea's national football team friendly against Ghana, year-end special broadcasts and award ceremonies all saw noticeable increases in sales. As a result, in the fourth month after release they even reclaimed No. 1 on Circle Chart's monthly album chart (Dec. 2025).
Notably, they have shown an unusually strong popularity in North America for a rookie. Long-term success on the Billboard charts proves this. CORTIS's debut album remained in the upper ranks for three months after release on the 'Top Album Sales' and 'Top Current Album Sales,' which track physical album sales in the U.S. It is also impressive that the album climbed more than 10 spots each time new team news was released or a performance was made public.
Meanwhile, CORTIS is stepping up preparations for a new album, aiming for a comeback in April. Many are paying close attention to their next work after they swept the firsts, fastest, and highest records in K-pop with last year's debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES.'
