Gabee shared her feelings about joining Agents of Mystery as a new investigator.
On Feb. 19 at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul, a production presentation was held for the Netflix variety show Agents of Mystery season 2.
With Park Kyung-rim appearing as MC, the event was attended by PD Jung Jong-yeon, PD Kim Seo-gu, PD Lee Won-ki, Lee Yongjin, John Park, Hyeri, Kim Do-hoon, Karina and Gabee.
Season 2 of the Netflix variety show Agents of Mystery, which will be released worldwide on Feb. 27 (Fri), is an adventure mystery show that pursues and solves bizarre incidents that cannot be explained scientifically. It is a work by PD Jung Jong-yeon, who has won great love for distinctive genres such as Netflix's brain survival game The Devil's Plan and The Great Escape, and High School Mystery Club, and which he introduced in 2024 to great response.
Agents of Mystery season 2 teases a mystery investigation on a significantly expanded scale, stoking high expectations among fans. Expanded outdoor cases within a deeper mystery world are expected to offer a unique sense of tension and immersion. As the difficulty is upgraded, the investigative instincts and teamwork of Agents of Mystery, who become agents of the secret organization "XIN" to probe supernatural incidents and complete missions, have also leveled up. Lee Yongjin, John Park, Hyeri, Kim Do-hoon and Karina have prepared to show their seasoned investigative instincts as experienced members, and the energetic new investigator Gabee adds vitality.
About Gabee's joining, PD Jung Jong-yeon said, "When I felt it, I thought she was a character not found in OTT variety shows. If she joined, we would get an incredibly cool character. Also, when I heard stories from production staff who had worked with Gabee, the praise was plentiful. So I had a vague desire to work with her once myself."
He added, "Sure enough, it was a delight. She did extremely well. Actually, this isn't an ordinary variety show, and when you put someone on it they might behave differently. They might suddenly get angry, or their chemistry with the cast might not match, but she performed her role so well. I think she definitely became a plus one, plus two," creating a warm feeling.
Hearing this, Gabee laughed, "I wasn't nervous at all today, but I started to get nervous because of what the PD just said."
She continued, "When the offer to join 'Misudan 2' first came, I really wanted to try a program like this. Every time I watched, I wondered how I would act if I were there, and I was very excited and curious. When I watched the pros, I wondered what role I could play, and I realized I get very absorbed. I thought perhaps I could do that, so I was very excited," she said of her reasons for participating.
She added, "Actually, I don't have anything I'm especially good at. I am not good at math. I don't have great bravery. I even cried playing VR horror games. So I thought I would just do my part, concentrate hard and do it. One thing for sure is that I think I concentrated well. And I tried to give energy. That's all I have. I tried to share that well," she said, describing her contributions.<
