'Radio Star' Choi Dae-chul caught attention by revealing his own casting secret.
On the 18th episode of the MBC entertainment show 'Radio Star' (hereafter 'Ras'), Choi Dae-chul revealed behind-the-scenes casting stories for a weekend drama.
Uhm Ji-won, who said she first did a weekend drama with "For Eagle Brothers", said, "I felt a sense of responsibility and burden," then hesitated, saying, "At that time Choi Dae-chul to me..," arousing curiosity.

Currently, after 'For Eagle Brothers' ended and after a short hiatus, Choi Dae-chul returned with the weekend drama 'Recipe For Love' as his next project. He recalled, "I felt anxious when the drama was ending. Usually actors have their managers meet the casting director, but I met the director in the waiting room. I smelled something and asked right away."
Confirming that it was not the direct successor to 'For Eagle', but the project after that, he went to see the director in person a week later. Choi Dae-chul said there is a smoking room on the fifth floor of KBS where he felt the director might be. When he went, the director was there as if by fate. "I said, 'I heard you're doing the project after the next one; just give me one role,'" he said. The director was initially taken aback but contacted him a week later, "There's a suitable role; is that okay?", he said, revealing the behind-the-scenes story.
When Kim Gu Ra expressed admiration, Choi Dae-chul said, "People in my position all do that much. I just think I was lucky," and said he even made business cards for self-promotion, which elicited admiration.
On the business card was a witty phrase reading '1588-DaechulDaechul'. About this he explained, "I thought it would be memorable, and if the number is too explicit it might be burdensome. I just put it in with the meaning of 'just call me once'."
