J-Hope of the group BTS demonstrated his unparalleled positive influence by donating a total of 300 million won on his birthday ahead of the group's full comeback in March.
According to ChildFund Korea on the 18th, J-Hope donated 100 million won on his birthday, Feb. 18, to support the studies of juniors at his alma mater. This scholarship will be used to support juniors at Gwangju International High School and Jeonnam Girls' Commercial High School who are experiencing financial difficulties.
In particular, through this donation J-Hope became the 14th member of ChildFund Korea's ultra-high donor group the "Green Noble Trinity Club," whose cumulative donations to ChildFund Korea exceed 1 billion won.
J-Hope's donations did not stop there. Asan Medical Center said the same day that J-Hope donated 200 million won as a fund for the development of the children's hospital. Since his first donation in 2022, the cumulative donations he has delivered to Asan Medical Center amount to 500 million won through this year.
About this donation J-Hope said, "I believe children will one day move toward a hopeful future. I sincerely hope children can overcome pain and dream bright dreams. I also continue to donate because I want to repay ARMY, who always send great support." He added, I am grateful to be able to practice meaningful sharing on my birthday again this year after last year. The donations will be used to improve treatment facilities for pediatric patients and to advance the medical environment.
Having adorned his birthday with sharing, J-Hope now returns to his primary role as a singer to meet fans around the world. BTS will release a new album, ARIRANG, containing 14 tracks that reflect the team's identity, at 1 p.m. on March 20 and begin full-group activities.
On the 21st they will hold "BTS comeback live: ARIRANG" at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, announcing a spectacular return. The performance will be broadcast live worldwide via Netflix, raising expectations even higher.
Known as a "donation angel" for caring for the underprivileged on every birthday, attention is focused on what new history J-Hope will write as a full member of BTS.
