'MZ wannabe icon' IVE (IVE: Ahn Yujin·Gaeul·Ray·Jang Wonyoung·Reeze·Lee Seo) unveiled the bangers concept film for their second full-length album REVIVE+ (Revive Plus), previewing an even more intense comeback.
Starship Entertainment posted the "Bangers concept film (BANGERS CONCEPT FILM)" video on IVE's official SNS on the 17th. 'Banger' is a word that refers to a song that makes you want to dance, energetic and addictive, and IVE sensibly expressed 'banger' through the video, drawing attention.
The released video begins with the line Isn't it boring? as the members gather with various people and move to the rhythm. Then, amid a bored atmosphere, with members yawning or taking off the headphones they were wearing, questions follow: Don't you want to go crazy for once?, Tell Me What you really want, and starting with the shout Say it out loud!, various natural elements and objects explode to represent an eruption of energy.
The mood shifts with a fast beat and the members finally revel in freedom, dancing and emitting IVE's confident energy. Then, when a reprimand of Hey! Keep it down, please! rings out with a siren, the members wave their hands to indicate they weren't the ones playing the music or feign that they were just passing by. Soon, as if the watcher disappeared, they turn the music up again and dance, depicting lawless figures in the city and delivering an immersive feel like a scene from a movie.
Having appeared as outlaws of the Old West in the pre-released BANG BANG music video on the 9th, IVE takes on the role of modern city outlaws in this video, expanding the universe and conveying the message that they will not be bound by set molds and will all make a bigger noise together. By organically connecting two completely different-feeling concepts, anticipation for another title track, BLACKHOLE, set to be released on the 23rd, has been raised to a peak, and attention is focusing on what visuals and messages they will present through 'Blackhole'.
IVE's second full-length album Revive Plus expands IVE's story, which had been centered on the 'I', into a perspective of 'we'. It adds meaning by broadening the range of solidarity that moves forward shouting together beyond individual confidence and agency.
Earlier, through the highlight medley released on the 16th, parts of the 12 tracks were unveiled, previewing a variety of sounds. In particular, Blackhole raised expectations further by suggesting a rich track that combines a majestic beat that grabs the ear, dreamy falsetto and solid high notes, possessing both delicacy and intensity.
Meanwhile, IVE will release their second full-length album REVIVE+ (Revive Plus) at 6 p.m. on the 23rd (KST) on various online music sites and begin full-scale activities with the title track BLACKHOLE.
