"Hwang Shin-hye's Let's Live Together" Jang Yoon Jeong and her daughter opened up about their feelings.
On the 18th broadcast of KBS 1TV "Hwang Shin-hye's Let's Live Together," continuing from last week, Hwang Shin-hye, Jang Yoon Jeong, and Jung Ga-eun were shown embarking on "living together" with their mothers.
The three mothers and daughters who visited the Gapyeong light festival each enjoyed their own dates. Jang Yoon Jeong's mother expressed regret about past times, saying, "While she was in school she couldn't go on picnics, couldn't go on MTs, and couldn't go to discos."
Jang Yoon Jeong recalled, "I used to go to nightclubs with Miss Korea sisters and you secretly followed and stood guard without my mother knowing," and her mother said, "I'm sorry about that. Time has passed and it can't be undone."
In a subsequent interview, the mother recalled, "I was too overprotective. Even when she was in school I could have loosened up a bit, but after she became Miss Korea she went on that school trip. But it conflicted with the day of the contest, and my daughter said she would skip the contest and go on the school trip. I said, 'The contest is only once.'"
After the mother's persuasion, Jang Yoon Jeong chose the Miss Korea contest over the school trip and entered the training camp. Jang Yoon Jeong expressed gratitude, saying, "I became Miss Korea thanks to my mother. The day before the Miss Korea finals, there is a large Buddha statue at the famous Palgongsan in Daegu. I heard that if you go there and perform a thousand prostrations one wish will be granted. My mother performed a thousand prostrations and came to the finals with aching legs."
She added, "So I think I am who I am today because of my mother."
