Actor Park Jeongmin mentioned 'Chungju man' Assistant Deputy Director Kim Seontae, who recently announced his resignation.
On the afternoon of the 17th, Park Jeongmin, the lead actor in the film Humint (director Ryu Seungwan), appeared as a guest on KBS cool FM's Oh My Girl Hyojung's Turn Up the Volume in the segment "Choi Hyojung's secret garden" and talked.
That day a listener sent Park Jeongmin a message saying, "Congratulations on becoming the Chungju ambassador." Earlier, Park Jeongmin drew attention by appearing in an official Chungju city YouTube video released on the 3rd.
When he met 'Chungju man' Assistant Deputy Director Kim Seontae at the time, Park Jeongmin said he is originally from Chungju and that his parents and other family members live there, and Assistant Deputy Director Kim Seontae proposed making him an ambassador. Park Jeongmin readily accepted, and he was even given a letter of appointment to serve as an ambassador for the next two years.
However, the Assistant Deputy Director Kim Seontae, who actually appointed Park Jeongmin as ambassador, surprised people by announcing his resignation on the 13th, just one day after two videos featuring Park Jeongmin were released. Speculation arose about political moves or bullying, but Kim Seontae personally clarified that those were not true.
In response, Park Jeongmin said, "The Chungju man made me an ambassador and then submitted his resignation," adding, "I went on (YouTube) and did that, and I even put the Chungju mascot on my phone, but he himself submitted his resignation," expressing a sense of betrayal and drawing laughter.
