ENA 'Honor: Their court' Jung Eun-Chae makes a bold move to reclaim the law firm L&J. Attention is focused on whether the unprecedented big deal will materialize as she teams up with Yeonwoo, who was linked to engagement rumors.
ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Honor: Their court' (directed by Park Geon-ho, written by Park Ga-yeon, planned by KT Studio Jini, produced by How Pictures, hereafter 'Honor') In the previous broadcast, Kang Shin-jae (Jung Eun-Chae) was stripped of her position as head of L&J (Listen & Join). Even after it was revealed that her life mentor and second-in-command of the parent company Haeil, Kwon Joong-hyun (Lee Hae-yeong), was a user of the secret prostitution app "Connect-in," he was appointed the new head of L&J and declared he would change the firm's identity. His decision to stop taking cases involving female victims shook Kang Shin-jae's convictions to the core.
An enraged Kang Shin-jae went to see Seong Tae-im (Kim Mi-sook), the head of Haeil and her mother, but there President Baek Tae-ju (Yeonwoo) was holding a presentation event for the IT corporation 'The Prime.' To make matters worse, the scene was immediately flooded with flashes as reports even suggested an engagement between Kang Shin-jae and Baek Tae-ju under the provocative headline of a merger between big tech and a giant law firm.
Baek Tae-ju denied the engagement rumors, but his unexpected confession that "it's true that I have feelings for her" caused another shock. He even made a suggestive offer to Kang Shin-jae. To the angered Kang Shin-jae, who was following her mother's lead, he said "my feelings are real" and went further, revealing his intention: "Try shifting your perspective. Instead of being your mother's enemy, I could be an ally who empowers Attorney Kang."
Meanwhile, the stills released today (17th) ahead of the broadcast hint at a new phase in the two's relationship. In the pre-released preview for episode 6, after Kang Shin-jae reveals to Seong Tae-im that Kwon Joong-hyun is a user of Connect-in, she goes to find Baek Tae-ju. Her eyes are unusually resolute as she warns, "I've turned over all my cards. What do you want?" foreshadowing a gamble with no room to retreat. Curiosity rises over whether Kang Shin-jae's alliance with Baek Tae-ju, the head of a big tech corporation, to reclaim L&J and secure independence from Haeil will become reality, and what kind of "big deal" might be struck between them.
Also, Seong Tae-im's choice upon learning of Kwon Joong-hyun's involvement in the massive prostitution scandal is another focal point. If the trusted second-in-command of Haeil is revealed to have coveted her position and is entangled in a major scandal, the balance of power could be shaken again.
The production team said, "As Kang Shin-jae pulls out every card to reclaim L&J, relationships are shaken dramatically in episode 6. The mother's decision upon learning of the prostitution scandal becomes a decisive factor that rattles Kang Shin-jae. Accordingly, the transaction between Kang Shin-jae and Baek Tae-ju will become an important point of interest in 'Honor.'"
Episode 6 of ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Honor: Their court' airs tonight (17th) at 10 p.m. on ENA and will be available on KT Jini TV and Coupang Play.
