Singer Jang Hyunseung faced past "attitude controversy" head-on.
On the 16th, a video titled "Jang Hyunseung has changed [Jang Hyunseung A/S fan signing event episode 2]" was posted on the YouTube channel "MMTG." That day Jang Hyunseung listened directly to stories related to past fan signing event attitude controversies and chose to apologize instead of offering explanations.
One fan recounted attending fan signing events two days in a row. On the first day, when asked "what's good for breakfast," Jang Hyunseung replied "soup-based dishes are good," and when the fan said they had eaten soup the next day, he reportedly said "soup is heavy so I don't like it, and I prefer sandwiches." The fan cautiously said, "I wish you would take some time to think about the question before answering. I hope the answer doesn't change within 24 hours."
Another fan confessed, "I asked about my favorite ice cream flavor, and without looking at me he said, 'I don't eat that ice cream.'" When someone mentioned that a photo of him eating that ice cream was later posted, the venue stirred.
A fan shared a story about it being their first time fangirling and their first signing event. They gave him a hand mirror as a gift, but he pushed it aside with a blank expression and did not react when told "you're handsome." When the fan said, "the way he looked at me was really cold," the atmosphere grew solemn.
Jang Hyunseung bowed his head and responded, "I'm sorry," and also fulfilled fans' requests one by one. He took time to think before answering questions instead of responding immediately, and he did not easily reverse his answers. He looked at fans while talking and received gifts with both hands. He handed out 100 cookies and photocards prepared with his own money, and on the way home he revealed a large banner with the names of all attending fans.
In closing, Jang Hyunseung said frankly, "I felt like I was constantly being leaned on. Today I feel relieved," drawing attention.
