Actor Park Jeongmin revealed an experience in which he felt deeply betrayed by KBS.
On the afternoon of the 17th, Park Jeongmin, the lead actor of the film "Humint" (directed by Ryu Seung-wan), appeared as a guest on KBS cool FM's Oh My Girl Hyojung's "Turn up the volume" in the "Choi Hyojung's secret garden" segment and talked.
That day Park Jeongmin took time to respond directly to fans' comments. While doing so, seeing a comment related to a video in which he performed a rap on KBS2's 'You Hee-yeol's Sketchbook' — "It showed up in my algorithm. The charm is crazy, really" — Park Jeongmin replied, "KBS YouTube person, please take that video down," which drew laughter.
Hyojung praised, "You do it so well. It's not just praise, you really do it well," and Park Jeongmin said, "At that time I filmed a movie in which I rap. When that movie was released, something got messed up with the timing and the movie had already been taken down by the time I was on 'Sketchbook.' So that meant I went on and couldn't promote it and I was just the guy who rapped. There are so many stories about this time, but anyway it's frustrating," he confessed.
Afterwards, the producers repeatedly replayed the rap video from that time, making Park Jeongmin bow his head. Regarding the algorithm he angrily said, "We have to blow up the internet HUB," and embarrassed, "I'm suffering even now, but if I watch that in 10 years, won't I hate myself so much?" Hyojung offered a positive view, saying, "In 10 years you'll find it cute."
A listener asked about plans to appear on 'Show Me the Money,' and Park Jeongmin answered flatly, "I don't want to." After seeing a message that said, "You're Tiger JK to me," he said, "My preceding slot was Tiger JK. I really respect the 'Sketchbook' writers. So I told the writers, 'The order is strange. This can't be like this.' At that time there were many people there, not only Tiger JK but also Yoon Mi-rae. I said, 'I'll look ridiculous,' but on the broadcast they edited it so that I went forward. I thought it was a relief and worked hard, came down and watched the broadcast, but Jaurim senior came out and then I was supposed to come out, but Drunken Tiger came out. I immediately opened soju at home," and he vented in anger, joking, "You really shouldn't trust those broadcasting station guys. If a public broadcaster doesn't keep promises like this..."
When asked what he would title it if he were to host The Seasons, he replied, "Thinking about the 'Sketchbook' days, 'Park Jeongmin's desperate straits.' Wouldn't that be so fun? It would only feature people in desperate straits," which added to the laughter. Hyojung said, "People who were wronged go on and appeal, saying 'Why did you do that then?'" and Park Jeongmin added, "rebelling against the press."
Among many compliments, when asked to pick his favorite, Park Jeongmin answered, "Good actor, good writer, good rapper," drawing attention. The producers again played Park Jeongmin's rap video, and when a listener worried, "You won't distance yourself from KBS, right?" Park Jeongmin said, "I'm fine with it," and joked, "But what really pissed me off was the next message. 'Goodbye my Tiger JK. Looking forward to Park Jeongmin's desperate straits' — that made me lose my appetite," which caused uproarious laughter.
Hyojung said, "Still, please come back to 'Turn up the volume'," and Park Jeongmin promised a future return, saying, "Of course. Call me and I'll come anytime."
