SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) has produced another 200 million-stream song.
On the 17th, according to global audio and music streaming platform Spotify, the cumulative streaming count for "Darl+ing," included on Seventeen's fourth studio album Face the Sun, stood at 200,504,000 as of the 15th.
"Darl+ing" is Seventeen's first English song, released on April 2022 as the pre-release single for Face the Sun. Member Woozi and producer Bumzu participated in the songwriting and composition, conveying the warm message "we are only fully one when we are ourselves."
"Darl+ing" immediately topped the worldwide iTunes song chart upon release and received explosive responses overseas, including reaching No. 1 on Line Music's real-time and daily "Song Top 100" in Japan. It also entered Billboard's "Global 200" and "Global (Excluding U.S.)," which rank popular songs across more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Seventeen has been demonstrating steady popularity on Spotify by recently achieving consecutive hundred-million records. Earlier, the accumulated Spotify streams for the title track "SONOKONG" from mini album No. 10 surpassed 300 million, and the title track "LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled)" from mini album No. 12 also exceeded 100 million.
Meanwhile, Seventeen will return to Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium on Feb. 28 and March 1 to open SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN ASIA. The concerts will also take place in large stadiums in Singapore, Bangkok and Bulacan. They will hold encore performances at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on April 4-5, marking the finale of a seven-month world tour.
