'Gen Z美' group KiiiKiii (KiiiKiii: Jiyu, Lee Sol, Su-i, Ha-eum, Ki-ya) offered greetings for the Lunar New Year.
KiiiKiii released a group image ahead of Seollal on the 16th via their official social media.
In the released photos, the members presented five distinct styles reflecting each person's individuality in a concept that paid homage to the drama '궁', catching attention. From the protagonist's school uniform to the green party garment, dragon robe, and modern reinterpretations of hanbok, KiiiKiii, dressed in a variety of outfits, conveyed their bright energy and freedom through images including a photo of them sitting together with a panel that read 새해 복 많이 받으세요 and shots of them offering New Year greetings.
Personal photos reminiscent of drama posters were also released. The members added Y2K sensibility with flip phones and wired earphones, and evoked nostalgia by completing photo poses using a teddy bear and comic books that were much loved when the drama was popular.
Through their agency Starship Entertainment, KiiiKiii said, "This Lunar New Year feels more meaningful because it is the first time since our debut that we will celebrate it with Tiki (official fan club name). We are grateful to be able to share good news starting in January and to spend the holidays together."
They added, "Through this album, we wanted to convey the message 'this year, be myself, a little bolder,' and we are proud that many people seemed to receive that meaning, and we want to repay that by continuing good activities. During the Lunar New Year holiday, I hope you set aside worries and concerns for a while and spend happy times with your loved ones."
Debuting last year with I DO ME and delivering a message of freedom and autonomy, KiiiKiii announced a dazzling start by winning seven rookie awards. Solidifying their position through various activities, they renewed their own career high by reaching No. 1 on the Melon TOP100 with the title track '404 (New Era)' from their mini album 2 released on the 26th of last month, and achieved a triple crown by ranking first on several music programs. Recently, they were also selected as the first promotional ambassadors for 'Seoul Color' by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and announced a special collaboration with a global headwear brand, continuing their activities across diverse fields as well as music.
Marking their first Lunar New Year since debut with various achievements, KiiiKiii is expected to continue communicating with fans through diverse content and activities after the holiday. Interest is growing in KiiiKiii's 2026 moves as they build their own colors and messages.
