Broadcaster Kim Na-young's father-in-law shared his candid feelings when he first heard the news of the romance.
On the afternoon of the 15th, a video titled "Knock knock at the home of Kim Na-young's in-laws living in a duplex APT.!" was posted on the YouTube channel Kim Na-young's nofilterTV (nofilterTV).
Kim Na-young visited Mai Q's family home and had an honest conversation with her in-laws. That day the father-in-law recalled the moment when the son confessed the romance before it appeared in the news, saying, "Dad was very surprised. We have a daughter. I asked if she was also not aware. I made a phone call," describing the tense moment.
The father-in-law described the situation at the time: "I had only seen Na-young's appearance on television. I didn't know her life and I knew nothing. Still, the people who view Na-young most objectively are young people, so I called our daughter.
