'MZ wannabe icon' IVE (IVE: Ahn Yujin·Gaeul·Ray·Jang Wonyoung·Reeze·Lee Seo) kicked off the buildup to their second full-length album comeback by successfully wrapping up music show promotions for their pre-release track 'BANG BANG.'
IVE began promotions on Mnet 'M Countdown' on the 12th to announce their comeback, and appeared on KBS2 'MUSIC BANK', MBC 'Show! Music Core', and SBS 'Inkigayo', delivering stages for the pre-release track 'BANG BANG' from their second full-length album 'REVIVE+ (Revive plus)', proving an even more expanded musical spectrum.
First, on 'MUSIC BANK' IVE appeared in white-toned styling that stood out, completing six distinct visuals that captured attention. On 'Show! Music Core', IVE's western mood and funky atmosphere stood out, with Ahn Yujin appearing in a hippy perm style and Reeze making a surprise transformation to blonde hair, adding visual interest to each stage.
On 'Inkigayo' they emphasized a chic mood with red-toned leather styling. In scenes reminiscent of a music video, IVE showcased steady live vocals and performances, demonstrating strong stage presence.
IVE's performances on stage also delivered catharsis to viewers. Matching intense beats and gradually building the atmosphere, IVE presented successive choreography including the shoulder-shaking 'shoulder dance', the 'keyring dance' which reinterprets headbanging as hand movements, and the waist-bending 'Ayaya' dance, completing the song's killing parts. In particular, in the latter part, a powerful group routine unfolded with a "3, 2, 1" count, elevating the stage energy and bringing the atmosphere to a peak while leaving a deep impression.
'BANG BANG' is a song based on EDM and electronic sounds with a western swing intro, characterized by a straight beat and energy. The track shot up the domestic and international charts immediately after its release, fully opening the door to the second full-length album.
After finishing promotions for the pre-release track 'BANG BANG', leader Ahn Yujin said through her agency Starship Entertainment, "I was happy to greet everyone first with a pre-release track ahead of the second full-length album release and to be able to show a live stage directly to DIVE (official fan club name)." She added, "I am grateful that both the song and the stage seem to be receiving a lot of love, and I feel proud that we started the full album well." She continued, "We will prepare even harder for the second full-length album and the title track 'BLACKHOLE', which will be released on the 23rd, so please show lots of interest and support."
Meanwhile, having warmed up their comeback with the pre-release track 'BANG BANG', IVE will make an official comeback on the 23rd with the second full-length album's title track 'BLACKHOLE'.
