Chef Jo Seo-hyung expressed disappointment toward his close friend Chef Kim Hee-eun, who co-starred with him on Culinary Class Wars 2.
On the 15th episode of KBS2's The owner's ears are donkey ears (hereafter The owner's ears are donkey ears), Jo Seo-hyung and Chef Park Ga-ram were shown doing a collaboration dinner show.
At that dinner show, chefs who appeared on seasons 1 and 2 of Culinary Class Wars, including Kim Hee-eun, Woo Jung-wook, Kim Tae-seong, Oh Jun-tak, Song Ha-seulam, Hyun Sang-wook, Kim Hoon and Ahn Jin-ho, gathered together, drawing attention. Jo Seo-hyung explained, "I invited chefs because I wanted to hear honest reviews from fellow chefs."
Afterward, Jo Seo-hyung and Park Ga-ram collaborated to serve course meals to guests, and the dinner show concluded successfully. But while watching the chefs' evaluations of the food, Jo Seo-hyung wore a serious expression after reading Chef Kim Hee-eun's review. Chef Kim Hee-eun had left harsh comments about several dishes, saying, "The fermented smell of the soybean paste was a bit strong," among other criticisms.
In response, Jo Seo-hyung said, "I'll throw out comments like that. I won't look at them. I'm the type who only wants to hear praise." Then Kim Sook pressed the 'boss' button and pointed out, "You came to get that," and Jun Hyun-moo also pressed the button and scolded, "No, this is exactly like Jeong Ji-seon."
Jo Seo-hyung candidly said, "I should listen with one ear and let it go with the other, but I can't. I'm only human. So I didn't even read them. I only listen to praise." Then Jun Hyun-moo clicked his tongue and said, "Now I know why you're sitting here."
Especially, Jo Seo-hyung said sadly, "Only Chef Hee-eun had a lot of 'it was disappointing' comments," and half-jokingly declared, "I'm not going to go to that sister's restaurant anymore," to which Jun Hyun-moo, hearing this, said, "She's probably serious," drawing laughter.
