Actor Park Geon Il convincingly proved his acting transformation and ended on a high note.
On the MBC Friday-Saturday drama The Judge Returns, which concluded on Feb. 14, the story of Kwak Soon-won (played by Park Geon Il), who met a tragic end, was depicted.
Kwak Soon-won was shocked when he was suddenly abandoned by the trusted Kang Shin-jin (played by Park Hee-soon). He realized it was Kang Shin-jin's voice who tried to kill him. Above all, the look filled with fierce anger hinted that something serious was about to happen.
Then, when Kwak Soon-won appeared in front of Kang Shin-jin, he revealed a murderous look in his eyes. Not only that, but when Kim Jin-han (played by Jung Hee-tae) approached greeting him, Kwak Soon-won stabbed him in an instant, shocking even those watching.
However, after losing the power struggle with Kang Shin-jin, Kwak Soon-won once again showed deep loyalty to him. He also set out to take care of former president Park Gwang-to (played by Son Byung-ho) at Kang Shin-jin's instruction. But he fell after being shot by Park Gwang-to and met his end, leaving everyone holding their breath.
In this way, Park Geon Il created a compelling mysterious character through weighty acting from the early to the later parts of the series. From the moment he announced Lee Han-young's (played by Jisung) return to every time he moved as Kang Shin-jin's right-hand man, he injected tense momentum into the developments and projected a solid presence.
In particular, his expressionless face, which made his thoughts unreadable, and his dry voice vividly brought out the merciless facets of Kwak Soon-won. In this way, Park Geon Il left intense impressions at the right moments, showing a different side than before.
As Park Geon Il pursues different transformations in each work and displays a variety of facets, many are focusing on the newness he will present in the future.<
