Actor Cha Joo-young recounted a past scene of severe bleeding.
On the 15th, Cha Joo-young reuploaded photos and videos she had posted at the time to her social account with the caption "5 years ago...".
The footage showed blood soaking the asphalt road. Cha Joo-young confessed, "My nosebleed wouldn't stop, it started again." In the following video, a scene of blood endlessly pouring into a sink was shown, and Cha Joo-young added the explanation, "for more than an hour." It meant the bleeding did not stop for over an hour.
In particular, another photo showed a large basin filled with the nosebleed Cha Joo-young had lost, adding to the shock. Ultimately Cha Joo-young received an IV at the hospital, and recalling the time she earnestly wished, "When I open my eyes, please let it be well healed so this won't happen again, please!"
Meanwhile, Cha Joo-young temporarily suspended activities last month for health reasons. Her agency Ghost Studio said, "Actor Cha Joo-young will be unable to attend scheduled official events and some activities for the time being due to health reasons," adding, "She has undergone detailed examinations and treatment for prolonged repeated bleeding (nosebleeds), and based on medical opinion proceeded with an otolaryngology surgery that could no longer be delayed. She is currently in a stage requiring postoperative recovery and follow-up observation, and we ask for your understanding that she will be unable to participate in official schedules, including promotional activities for her works, during the recovery period."
As a result, Cha Joo-young appeared in the film "Sister," which opened on the 28th of last month, but did not attend promotional events because of the otolaryngology surgery. Her next project is the ENA new Monday-Tuesday drama "Climax," which premieres on Mar. 16.
