KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' reveals an episode in which Le Chanwon was embarrassed during a trip to Japan with Takuya.
KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' (directed by Kim Hyung-seok and Choi Seung-beom/hereinafter 'Immortal Songs') is the undisputed top music variety program that has continued its history for more than 700 episodes. The 744th episode airing today (14) is presented as the 2026 Lunar New Year special 'Immortal Songs - Global star edition'. For this special, six 'global stars' who love Korea more than Koreans themselves—Sam Hammington, Sayuri, Guzal, Danielle & Takuya, Angelina Danilova, and Leo—will appear, each delivering a distinct stage as diverse as their nationalities to turn holiday living rooms into a joyful celebration.
Meanwhile, Le Chanwon exposes the truth(?) about Takuya, a Japanese person who has lived in Korea for 15 years, causing laughter. Le Chanwon opens by saying, "Even if I ask Takuya about great Japanese restaurants, he doesn't know any. Rather, he's at an expert level when it comes to Hannam-dong and Banpo-dong," to which Takuya proudly replies, "In Hannam-dong or Banpo-dong you don't even need a navigator," drawing laughter.
Le Chanwon goes on to reveal, "I once traveled to Japan with Takuya. When we were deciding on a menu at a restaurant, Takuya suddenly said, 'kakaku kudasai (please each),'" recounting an episode where his language patch malfunctioned, adding to the laughter. Takuya laments, "I have lost my identity. Now I don't know which country I belong to," which reportedly makes those around him burst into laughter.
The language proficiency of foreigners in Korea also becomes a topic. In particular, the performance of Angelina Danilova, known as a language genius fluent in five languages and nicknamed the 'Russian beauty,' unfolds; she says, "Korean is the hardest. The more I learn, the more grateful I am to King Sejong. Hangul Day on Oct. 9 is my favorite day personally," showing a love for Korea that surprises viewers. At this moment Takuya says, "Soon she might speak Japanese better than I do," surrendering his native tongue and delivering a subtle laugh, the report said.
Meanwhile, Danielle & Takuya choose Lim Young-woong's 'Father' and deliver a touching performance. In particular, Takuya explains the reason for the song choice, saying, "I recently revealed family matters for the first time on a broadcast. I wanted to express my feelings toward my stepfather, who gave me love deeper than blood," adding meaning to the stage. Reportedly, Takuya conveys his love for his family with a sincere voice to the piano melody played by Danielle, raising anticipation for their performance that will bring deep emotion to holiday living rooms.
The Lunar New Year special 'Immortal Songs - Global star edition,' which will deliver even richer entertainment for the holiday, meets viewers today (14). 'Immortal Songs,' which creates legendary videos you want to watch again each episode, airs every Saturday at 6:05 p.m. on KBS 2TV.<
