'The Judge Returns' ended and actress Baek Jin-hee shared her thoughts.
MBC's Fri-Sat drama 'The Judge Returns' ends with episode 14 (final episode), which airs today (14th). In this context, Baek Jin-hee shared bittersweet closing remarks and a Q&A through her agency.
In 'The Judge Returns,' which has continued an upward trend with developments that keep viewers tense until the end, Baek Jin-hee perfectly portrayed reporter Song Na-yeon, who has an offbeat charm that pretends to be sharp but often misses the mark, who risks danger to go undercover, and who pursues stories on her own feet with professional, passionate dedication, showing a contrast-filled, twist-filled charm that drew viewers' attention with her luminous presence.
Baek Jin-hee vividly expressed the polar opposite charms with stable acting, enhancing the drama's entertainment and anticipation; she three-dimensionally portrayed the character as an indispensable key figure in the Lee Han-young (played by Jisung) lineup 'Panvengers,' and through her passionate performance further boosted her presence with viewers.
With the actors' vivid character portrayals and ensemble, and with tension in the fast-moving plot and satisfying outcomes, the MBC Fri-Sat drama 'The Judge Returns' has shown an unstoppable upward trend through the final episode, episode 14, which will be broadcast today at 9:40 p.m. with extended scheduling.
Ahead of the end of 'The Judge Returns,' Baek Jin-hee said that before answering the Q&A she hoped that even her brief answers would convey sincerity and gratitude. She said, "There were many good points and many regrets, but because of that I think it became a good opportunity to learn a lot and reflect. I am so grateful to everyone," conveying her heartfelt feelings.
The following is the full Q&A with actress Baek Jin-hee on the ending of 'The Judge Returns.'
Q. What made you take the role?
- I knew well that it was a work that already had a solid fanbase as a webtoon, and it was such a great opportunity to act alongside seniors like senior Jisung, senior Park Hee-soon, and many other senior actors that I didn't want to miss it!
Q. How do you feel about appearing in the show?
- It's not easy to be part of a project with so many actors blending together, but under the director's leadership, I had an even happier time acting than I expected thanks to the great seniors, fellow actors and all the staff!
Personally, there were many things I liked and many regrets while playing 'Song Na-yeon,' but because of that it became a precious and good opportunity to learn a lot and reflect! I am so grateful to everyone.
Q. What charms of Song Na-yeon or what did you prepare for the character?
- Before the regression, she is a competent and experienced reporter, and after the regression, as a rookie reporter she is full of passion but often gets tripped up because she is always in her own pace. In the end, she investigates important information as one of Lee Han-young's aides and even plays the media, so I thought that the contrasting charms are Song Na-yeon's greatest appeal!
Also, I thought her always-smiling and friendly personality was an asset, so while acting I smiled more and brought brighter energy to the shoot~
Q. Lastly, what do you want to say to viewers?
I sincerely thank everyone who stayed with 'The Judge Returns' until the end.
Thank you for waiting every week, for cheering, and for watching over the character 'Song Na-yeon' — it gave me tremendous strength as an actor!!
It's already sad that it's over, but I hope 'The Judge Returns' and 'Song Na-yeon' remain as deep impressions in your hearts! I will work hard so I can greet you with even better appearances in the future!!
Thank you so, so much for staying with and supporting me until now!<
