Singer-songwriter KIXO (Kijo) has changed his stage name to JUNE (Jun) and will release his first EP.
JUNE will release the first pre-release single from his first EP 'MY BLUE (My Blue)', titled 'WHY DO YOU LOVE ME (Why Do You Love Me)', on the 14th through various online music sites.
'MY BLUE' is an album that is the reason JUNE started making music and the driving force that has kept him going until now. In this regard, JUNE told his agency NO MORE BLUE (No More Blue), "I started music receiving comfort from artists who express their life and difficult inner stories through song. Writing such songs has been a dream I long admired since the moment I started music," he said, sharing his thoughts on the work.
This album contains a journey of more than five years, from stories JUNE wrote down from 2021 before his debut, to their completion as songs in 2023, and finally their public release in 2026. Through tracks that reflect life and the inner self, JUNE remembers the person he was at that time through music and will convey deep empathy to listeners.
Changing his artist name from KIXO (Kijo) to JUNE, a name that best describes him, he plans to present new activities starting with this EP by putting more honest and heartfelt stories into his music.
Following the release of the first pre-release track 'WHY DO YOU LOVE ME' that day, JUNE will raise anticipation for the full album by releasing the second pre-release track, 'NOTHING WITHOUT YOU (Nothing Without You)', on the 28th.
JUNE, who debuted in 2022, has built a solid discography through active musical and creative activities. He gained attention as a co-composer of BIG Naughty's 'Let's Call It Affection (Feat. 10CM)', released the singles 'Is It Because I'm a Fool?' and 'Alone Again (Alone Again)'. He also garnered love by presenting 'Is love a sin? (Feat. 10CM, B.I)', 'Is it already too late to say I love you (Feat. Jo Wonsang (LUCY))', 'When the first snow falls', and 'First Snow' through the music project he oversaw, 'Seasons of Love (Seasons of Love)'.
JUNE's EP first pre-release single 'WHY DO YOU LOVE ME' will be available on various online music sites from noon on the 14th. The second pre-release single 'NOTHING WITHOUT YOU' will be released at 6 p.m. on the 28th, and the full EP will be released at 6 p.m. on March 14.
