After 8 years apart, the unique chemistry between Shin Hae-sun and Lee Jun-hyuk captured attention.
On the morning of the 10th, at a press conference held at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, lead actors Shin Hae-sun, Lee Jun-hyuk and director Kim Jin-min attended and discussed the work.
The new Netflix series "Lady Dua" tells the story of a woman, Sara Kim (played by Shin Hae-sun), who wanted to be a luxury brand even if it was fake, and the male detective Moo-gyeong (played by Lee Jun-hyuk), who pursues her desire. Sara Kim is a mysterious figure who is known as the Asia branch president of the top 0.1% brand Budoa that everyone knows, but no one truly knows him. While investigating a case related to him, detective Moo-gyeong discovers that everything about him is fake and obsessively uncovers the truth. The mystery thriller centers on the relationship between Sara Kim and detective Moo-gyeong as he digs into the truth. Director Kim Jin-min, who has been praised for Netflix series such as Extracurricular and My Name, teamed up with rising writer Chu Song-yeon, who will present a tightly woven story with dense writing.
This work, in which Shin Hae-sun and Lee Jun-hyuk reunite and work together again after 8 years since the tvN drama "Stranger," drew great interest even before its release.
Lee Jun-hyuk said, "I had a basic trust in Hye-sun and felt at ease because she was a great colleague," and added, "After the project ended, I thought I wanted to work together again," showing deep confidence.
Shin Hae-sun also said, "At the time of 'Stranger,' I was a novice at both social life and acting, so I was barely keeping up with my seniors," and added, "When we reunited this time, there was a sense of trust as if we would understand each other without speaking. I felt a definitely different rhythm as time had built up."
Shin Hae-sun also said, "When my senior acted with me, he focused a lot, looking into my eyes," and added, "The scene we meet was hard to practice alone. It required the other person to exist. So we relied on each other a lot. Because it was my senior, I could rely on him comfortably while acting."
The close trust and chemistry between the two actors conveyed in the interview continued through the photo time. At the photo wall, Shin Hae-sun and Lee Jun-hyuk naturally held hands, playfully teased each other and created a cordial atmosphere, once again proving their exceptional chemistry.
Meanwhile, "Lady Dua" will be released to more than 190 countries worldwide via Netflix at 5 p.m. on the 13th.
