Disney+ original variety show "Fate War 49" (planned by Hwang Gyo-jin and Seong Chi-gyeong; directed by Hwang Gyo-jin and Yoo Su-yeon; writer Mo Eun-seol) has been drawing explosive responses since episodes 1–4 were released on the 11th.
Viewers continued to praise the show, saying, "Honestly I usually don't believe in things like this, but 'Fate War 49' really felt different from the first episode," "No, you have to watch 'Fate War 49' — it's so strange and I feel like I'm going crazy," "I binged it in one sitting, it's so fun," and "I really want to see the next episode but I have to work."
Riding this hot popularity, "Fate War 49" ranked No. 1 in the Disney+ TV show institutional sector for Korea and Taiwan on FlixPatrol, a global OTT platform viewing rankings site, as of Friday, Feb. 13, and proved its box office power by ranking No. 10 in the worldwide TV show category.
In addition to taking No. 1 on Disney+ app's "Today's top 10 in Korea," it rose to No. 3 overall on KinoLytes' "today's trend ranking" integrated chart and No. 1 on Disney+ daily integrated rankings, foreshadowing a hit syndrome.
Showing overwhelming buzz upon release, Disney+ original variety show "Fate War 49" is set to firmly establish itself as dopamine-inducing content that captures all generations ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. After "War of Intuition," which continued with taboo-breaking shocking missions, "Fate War 49" episodes 5–7, which promise another round of unpredictable missions, will be available on Disney+ on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
