Sung Si Kyung's mother was revealed to the public for the first time through the "Seol special concert Sung Si Kyung."
The SBS "Seol special concert Sung Si Kyung" broadcast on the afternoon of the 14th is the TV version of "Concert Sung Si Kyung," which was held from Dec. 25 to 28 last year.
Amid appearances by various famous figures from the entertainment industry, including Yu Jae-seok, singer Park Jin-Young, IU, music critic Im Jin-mo, Yoon Jongshin, Park Kyung-rim and Choi Hwa-jung, Sung Si Kyung's mother also appeared, drawing attention.
Sung Si Kyung's mother said, "He was very weak until he was 1 and a half years old. I got baby ginseng from somewhere, mashed it and fed it to him, and then he became healthy. He grew up well without any problems."
She continued, "I never even dreamed that my son would become a singer," and recalled, "When I think back now, at one and a half years old, when he started to talk, if he saw a toy microphone he would sing 'Woman outside the window' and mimic it so well. When he debuted in 2000 with 'The Way to Me,' it caused an uproar at home. Grandfather, grandmother, aunts, everyone was in an uproar."
