Comedian Kim Kyeong-jin♥model Jeon Su-min overcame infertility and finally gave birth to twins today (14).
Earlier, comedian Kim Gyeong-jin and former model Jeon Su-min met through an introduction by a friend of broadcaster LJ and, after about a year of dating, held a wedding. The two met at a friend's birthday party, formed a relationship, naturally developed into lovers and promised a future together.
Kim Gyeong-jin and Jeon Su-min wanted children, but it was not as easy as they had hoped. They went through difficult times after hitting the wall of infertility due to Kim Gyeong-jin's health issues, and it was reported that they tried in vitro fertilization during that time to try to become pregnant.
On the morning of the 14th, comedian Kim Gyeong-jin's agency A2Z Entertainment said, "Comedian Kim Gyeong-jin and model Jeon Su-min have become parents of twins," and "Kim Gyeong-jin's wife Jeon Su-min gave birth to Boki and Buki (temporary names) at around 4:30 a.m. on the 14th at a general hospital located in Gangseo District, Seoul. Boki and Buki are male and female identical twins, and the couple gained a son and a daughter at the same time. The two babies were born healthy at 2.9 kg (girl) and 3.1 kg (boy), and the mother is also resting and recovering," the agency said in an official statement.
The agency added, "Kim Gyeong-jin and Jeon Su-min tried steadily to have children after marriage, but they experienced infertility due to Kim Gyeong-jin's health issues," and "after a long period of effort, they finally succeeded with in vitro fertilization last year, and after six years of marriage they have obtained their precious children. We ask for congratulations and support for the couple's twin birth."
Kim Gyeong-jin and Jeon Su-min appeared on the KBS2 variety show "The Boss Has Donkey Ears" in 2024 and confessed the difficult process of infertility. At the time, Jeon Su-min said, "I was preparing for in vitro fertilization, but my husband developed epididymitis from business stress. Feeling the burden of being the eldest son, I felt hurt doing supplements, exercising and undergoing procedures alone," which evoked sympathy.
Also, Jeon Su-min shared her feelings on the 6th of this month as she was about to give birth.
She uploaded a fetal movement video and 3D ultrasound photos of the babies who would soon be born to her social account. She added, "Next week we finally meet. After a long longing, thank you and precious BokiBuki who came to us~ Strangely, excitement is greater than fear," and "They are different beings, but siblings starting together. This belly, this excitement, I want to remember it for a long time. See you healthy. Mom and dad are ready," adding a greeting to the children.
Meanwhile, Kim Gyeong-jin and Jeon Su-min married on June 27, 2020, and became parents of twins after six years.
