Group god member Andrew Son voiced his troubles caused by his 'smile angel' image.
god appeared on the general programming channel MBN's variety program 'Jun Hyun-moo plan 3,' which aired the afternoon of the 13th. They went on a mukbang trip to Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province with Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube.
At their last food stop they visited a gamak bar in Gwacheon and happily ate a variety of foods from samgyeopsal to gwamegi. While eating, Jun Hyun-moo asked about an 'anecdote of hardship because of an image' and asked about difficulties Andrew Son faces because of his consideration and gentlemanliness.
Andrew Son candidly said, "It's so hard because people think I'm just going to keep smiling. I can not smile in normal times. Just when I'm still. People think I'm angry. That I'm scary. My nickname was Horang-i," drawing attention.
Then Kim Tae Woo said, "Actually it started because of Danny hyung; he went out and said, 'Kim Tae Woo is one of the world's three great vocalists.' I've never thought that," he said. Then, when asked to pick the five top vocalists in Korea, Kim Tae Woo mentioned Im Jae-bum, Kim Gunmo, Kim Bum Soo, Park Hyo-shin and Lee Seung-Chul. Danny Ahn added, "Tae-woo really talks about singing ?? He speaks in song."
The god members' picks for their 'favorite songs' were also revealed. Andrew Son chose god's fourth album title track 'Road,' and Jun Hyun-moo said, "When I was pushed out by Oh Sang-jin and fell from MBC I listened to that song. Why am I standing on this road? When things felt so bleak I listened to this song and it healed me," which drew laughter.
He also revealed ambitions. Kim Tae Woo said, "god almost ended when the Korean wave began. So there were no opportunities for overseas promotion or things like that. A group that's been together for nearly 30 years, in a way a first-generation K-pop idol, wants to show its originality through activities. We want to do a world tour too," he said of his goals.
He added, "Danny hyung's dream is to perform at Coachella." When KwakTube said, "I think Coachella can be reached within three years," he added, "In three years Jjun hyung will be 60," which drew laughter. Andrew Son showed enthusiasm, saying, "In three to four years we'll coincide with our 30th anniversary."
