Oh Sang-jin revealed recent news that he served as an MC at an international event.
The Jan. 13 episode of KBS 2TV Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant (hereinafter Fun-Staurant) showed 'Butler Oh' Oh Sang-jin preparing curry for his daughter Sua.
That day Oh Sang-jin caught attention by adding chickpeas to the curry he would eat. He said, "I recently went on a business trip to the Middle East, and there was a masala chickpea curry on the menu," adding, "I scooped it up without thinking and it was so delicious that it stayed with me," explaining why he chose chickpea curry.
He also explained the reason for the business trip himself. Oh Sang-jin said, "The 2025 APEC in Gyeongju led to a cultural exchange event between Korea and the UAE," and added, "I was chosen to host the 'night of cultural exchange,' so I went on a one-night, four-day trip."
When the studio panelists were surprised at the tight schedule, Oh Sang-jin added, "I slept a day on the plane before and after, and the event was exactly two days." When Boom joked, "If you slept more, Ms. Sohyun would issue a reprimand," Oh Sang-jin made an aggrieved face and said, "It's my main job," drawing laughter.
Oh Sang-jin said of his participation in the international event, "I was personally honored to be able to contribute to an important event for both countries."
Meanwhile, Oh Sang-jin's wife, former MBC announcer Kim So-young, recently made headlines for securing about 7 billion won in investment from a well-known investment firm. CEO Kim So-young, who currently operates several brands, is receiving much support as she is pregnant with her second child despite a busy schedule.<
