The former agency of Hwang Jung-eum released a statement regarding the provisional seizure of a detached house in Itaewon.
On the afternoon of the 13th, Hwang Jung-eum's former agency, Y1 Entertainment, said, "We respect the court's decision regarding the ongoing legal proceedings," and added, "However, we ask for your understanding that it is difficult to confirm or comment at this stage because specific details could affect judicial procedures. We will respond faithfully according to the relevant procedures in the future, and we will not provide any further statements on this matter," releasing an official position.
According to an earlier media report, Y1 Entertainment recently filed for a provisional seizure on the land and building of the detached house in Itaewon owned by Hwang Jung-eum. The Seoul Central District Court accepted this on the 10th and decided to impose the provisional seizure. The claimed amount is 282 million won. Hwang Jung-eum purchased the detached house in 2020 for 4.6 billion won.
Also, it was revealed that Hwang Jung-eum's one-person agency of 13 years, Hunminjeongeum Entertainment, was not registered in the popular culture and arts planning business, and Y1 Entertainment also publicly disclosed the notice of termination of the exclusive contract. Y1 added, "On Nov. 27, 2025, we notified Hwang Jung-eum of the termination of the exclusive contract, and that notice was accepted, so the exclusive contract between the two parties has already ended."
