YG Entertainment raised the excitement of its global raw talent discovery project by releasing an additional teaser for '2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION: GO! DEBUT' on the 13th.
The video drew attention for featuring trainee days of YG artists such as TREASURE and BABYMONSTER. The motivations, determination and aspirations for dreaming of becoming a YG artist varied for each person, but underlying them all was admiration for senior artists and a firm belief in YG, which has been proven through "skill."
It is a point where you can glimpse the basic qualities of artists YG pursues and the top priorities for nurturing stars. The reason this audition is receiving particular attention is that chief producer Yang Hyun-suk will participate directly from the first round of judging. Rather than evaluating simply by documents or specs, he intends to intuitively judge that potential with his distinctive insight.
With this casting philosophy, YG has produced many global top stars such as Big Bang, Blackpink and 2NE1. YG said, "This audition will focus solely on skill and star quality, with chief producer Yang Hyun-suk directly confirming applicants' potential from the start and discovering the next generation of stars," and added, "Please become the new face to share the future with YG."
Applications for '2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION: GO! DEBUT' can be submitted through the YG audition website or the QR code on the poster until Feb. 28. Regardless of gender or nationality, anyone born in 2007 through 2015 may apply, and applicants should choose one field they are confident in among singing, rap, dance, visuals and talent, and submit a video under 1 minute.
