"The Seasons – 10cm's Ssedam Ssedam" fills the stage with stories of artists who have passed through different times.
On the 13th episode of KBS 2TV's "The Seasons – 10cm's Ssedam Ssedam," GREE, KAI, Tei and Rumble Fish appear and sequentially bring out scenes where music and life intersect.
The first performer to take the stage was GREE, who had just completed his full term as a sergeant in the Marine Corps. GREE said "I chose to enlist because I thought you have to do things you dislike to do what you like," but he also confessed, "As soon as I enlisted I seriously considered 'should I get out?'" which drew laughter.
Recalling the anecdote of how his debut song "Nineteen" surpassed TWICE and Jeong Eun-ji to reach No. 1 on the early morning digital charts, he candidly said, "The rankings were reversed as soon as morning came, but that story was my comfort for 10 years." 10cm, sharing that he too had experienced being pushed off the charts by BTS, continued a sympathetic conversation. During the selection process for Yoon Do-hyun's "Love TWO," the production staff suggested adjusting the key, but GREE stubbornly refused, an anecdote that was also revealed.
Next, musical actor KAI took the stage with the number "This Is the Moment" from "Jekyll & Hyde." Recalling his university days when he was extroverted enough to be called "Seoul National University's Shin Dong-yeob," he said that after watching Cho Seung-woo's musical "Carmen" he "felt that singing was not about technique," and he explained how his attitude toward music changed.
He also revealed the story of his weight loss, when he used to weigh more than 100 kg and was nicknamed "polar bear," and the anecdote that Sumi Jo contacted him first and suggested the stage. KAI described Sumi Jo as "a benefactor of my life" and personally explained the background of how his current stage name was created. KAI's stage, previewed as a "hell song" full of revenge and rage, and 10cm's horror acting can also be seen on this episode.
Next, Tei took the stage with "Love leaves a scent..." A peer of 10cm, he said, "To sing a ballad you have to look sad," revealing the reason for his weight loss, and he joked that he focused on shoulder exercises for "The Seasons."
When asked rapid-fire questions like "how many hams?" and "how many rices?" he answered "I only don't eat them because I'm tired of them," showing his big appetite, and after a relay of impressions of Bae Chul-soo, Lee Seung-yeop, Jang Chen and Song Hyekyo, he tried to give 10cm direct coaching on impersonating Bae Chul-soo's voice but shook his head saying "this won't do," the story goes. The story was also revealed that his signature bread hat fashion from his debut stage came from an accident where his bangs caught fire while boiling ramen. Past highlights including five consecutive weeks at No. 1 ahead of Shin Seung Hun, Seo Taiji and TVXQ!, Kim Bum Soo's acknowledged remake stage of "Last Love," and the duet "Study of Memory" with KAI followed with performances that will delight listeners.
Finally, Rumble Fish summons the audience's memories with "Eurachacha." As the subject of the indie 30th anniversary project "life music," Rumble Fish recounted how, as a middle school girl campaigning in an election, she sang H.O.T.'s "When I Need You" and won. 10cm added, "It was the first song I figured out chords for on guitar and played," deepening the sense of connection.
Rumble Fish's set, continuing with "I Go," "Rain and you," and her debut song "A day with a good feeling," is expected to naturally lead the audience into the past. The episode also shares stories of her life as a mother whose husband is Buzz guitarist Yoon Woo-hyun and whose son is a child actor, and her concerns as a working mom.
