Group Ahob (AHOF) swept the newcomer award, main award and popularity award at 'The Awards'.
Ahob (Steven, Seo Jeong-woo, Cha Woong-gi, Jang Shu-aibo, Park Han, J.L., Park Joo-won, Jeo-eon, Daisuke) attended the 2nd D Awards (D AWARDS with upick) held on the 11th at Hwajeong Gymnasium, Korea University in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, and celebrated their wins.
That day Ahob lifted as many as four trophies. Earlier, Ahob had been selected as the preannounced D Awards Discovery discovery of the year winner. At the event they went on to grab the D Awards Dreams silver label, the D Awards Delight blue label and the upick popularity award best rising star.
Through their agency F&F Entertainment, Ahob said, "We performed together at D Awards for the first time since our debut, and we are so honored to receive such a meaningful award. We could receive this award thanks to our FOHA (official fan club name), who always cheer for us," and added, "We will show more growth this year so that the love and support you send us won't be in vain."
On the stage that followed the awards, they captivated the audience from the intro. First, Ahob opened the performance with Boy, fall onto the stage (Intro). They then displayed refreshing and energetic charm with the nine-member full version of Pinocchio hates lies.
Lastly, they unveiled the performance of Sleeping diary (Outro), which had only been shown at fan concerts, at an awards ceremony for the first time. The members filled about six minutes with a varied stage setup that showcased not only their dance but also their vocal skills.
Last year Ahob made a string of hits with Let's meet again there and Pinocchio hates lies. In addition, they were active not only in Korea but also in Japan, China and the Philippines, showing their presence on overseas stages.<
