Comedian Kim Su-young's recent life was revealed. His daily routine, transformed into a "pot salesman" traveling the country instead of performing on stage, drew viewers' attention.
On the Dec. 12 broadcast of SBS entertainment show "Exclusive World," a day in the life of Kim Su-young, who went from comedian to household goods salesman, was depicted. He started his day at 2:30 a.m., moved items piled in the warehouse into his vehicle, and busied himself preparing for morning sales. It was an update showing him working as an all-purpose salesman, traveling across the country.
He arrived at a local supermarket after a grueling five-hour drive. But sales were not easy. Even in difficult circumstances, Kim Su-young approached customers with his characteristic friendliness, and a heartwarming scene unfolded when a fan who recognized him happened to purchase an item. When he personally cooked ramen for his colleagues, his human charm was also glimpsed.
Colleagues offered encouragement, saying, "We want to see you doing comedy on TV again," and Kim Su-young replied, "If offers come in, of course I would consider it," wearing a momentary pensive expression.
In his fourth year of marriage, he also expressed gratitude to his wife. He revealed his remorse, saying, "I don't get home often, so it feels like I married my work." The wife he met during his toughest time said, "I later found out he had lost his job. Even so, he ran two to three times harder. I became confident he would be the one to support the family," and cheered on her husband. She added, "I'm worried about his health," evoking emotion.
Kim Su-young said, "When there was no money for gas, my wife handed me 50,000 won. I wanted to make that money grow," and declared, "My wife is my driving force. I will work even harder."
Although he has stepped away from the stage for a while, Kim Su-young's image of living each day more fiercely than anyone for his family left a deep impression.<
