As actor the late Jeong Eun-woo (Jeong Dong-jin) has passed away, messages he exchanged with an acquaintance during his lifetime have been made public, adding to the sorrow.
On the 11th, designer Hwang Yeong-rong shared on social media photos of the deceased along with conversation he had with Jeong Eun-woo. Hwang wrote, "I should have answered the call, but I really didn't know. I'm so sorry," and added, "I should have paid more attention. I'm sorry, and I was truly grateful." He continued, "I'll keep the promise. I love you, go well."
Hwang Yeong-rong also made public part of the messages Jeong Eun-woo had sent. Jeong said, "There really are a lot of pathological liars in the world, and a lot of scammers. I was a broadcast station fool," and added, "I tried to be comforted by those who approached me for the wounds I received from people. It's really filthy—why do they live like that."
He went on, "Winning is grades when you're a student; in the end, enduring is what wins. So endure well—with your own strength! I tried to endure once with someone else's strength, and after getting stabbed in the back, front, and sides for four years, I realized it's something you shouldn't do. The guys really had no loyalty. Those who called each other older and younger brothers for over 10 years. You'll do better than me. I'll endure well too. Living well isn't about having a lot of money; it seems to be about communication."
The late Jeong Eun-woo died on the 11th at age 40. The wake has been set up in Room 2 of the New Korea Hospital Funeral Hall in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, and the funeral is scheduled for Jan. 13 at 12 p.m. The burial site is Byeokje Seunghwawon.
Born in 1986, Jeong Eun-woo debuted in 2006 with the KBS2 drama "Sharp 3." He went on to steadily make his face known through works including "Hit," "Smile, Donghae," "Bride of the Sun," "Five Fingers," "A Well Grown Daughter," "Return of Hwang Geum-bok," and "My Only One." His final work is the film "Memories: Manipulated Murder."
