Group BOYNEXTDOOR won four awards, including the grand prize, at the 2nd D Awards.
BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Liu, Myeong Jaehyeon, Taesan, I Han, Unhak) won the grand prize "Black Label song of the year" for "Only today I LOVE YOU" at the 2nd D Awards (D AWARDS with upick) held on the 11th at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. They also took home a total of four trophies, including the main award "D Awards Delight Blue Label," "Best Recording," and "Best Group."
BOYNEXTDOOR said, "At debut we were introduced as 'six boys who tell the story of youth,' and we are grateful to be able to receive a major award and make our name known. It's thanks to ONEDOOR (ONEDOOR, fandom name), who always supports us. We will continue to work hard so our songs can reach the world."
They added, "We believe that when music resonates with many people, it can receive greater love. We will do our best this year to present music that people can relate to. We are working hard, so please wait a little," raising expectations for a comeback.
That day BOYNEXTDOOR cheerfully opened the show with the mini album 3 track "Parents not allowed to watch." At the mini album 5 title track "Hollywood Action," loud cheers erupted from the prelude. The members instantly heated up the atmosphere with booming vocal power and solid singing. Finally, with the line "You thought it was over? Everyone run," they performed the mini album 4 title track "I Feel Good," showcasing their clever stage manners.
MC Myeong Jaehyeon's performance also stood out. He smoothly led the event, which lasted about 4 hours and 30 minutes, with stable hosting and sharp reactions.
BOYNEXTDOOR maintained a steep growth trajectory last year with three domestic comebacks. Their first digital single released in January last year, "Only today I LOVE YOU," dominated various year-end charts. Also befitting the "Best Recording" awardee, both mini album 4 "No Genre" and mini album 5 "The Action" surpassed 1 million first-week sales. Based on these achievements, they announced major activities this year including a full-length album release and concerts.
