The episode of tvN STORY "What's the point of leaving it" that aired on the 11th featured Seo Jeong-hee as a guest, who had a deep conversation with MC Lee Young-ja and Pak Se-ri.
Seo Jeong-hee mentioned the severity at the time the cancer was discovered, saying, "I had a very bad cancer. One side was completely like a man's chest," a confession that evoked sympathy. Because her condition was so serious, her choice was firm. Seo Jeong-hee said, "I had everything removed to prevent recurrence," and recounted the sacrifices she had to make to escape the terror of cancer.
Seo Jeong-hee was also open about the process after the surgery. She added that she is currently receiving expander procedures to restore the shape of her breast, sharing how she is overcoming physical changes.
She did not forget to warn about prodromal symptoms. Seo Jeong-hee recalled, "There were prodromal symptoms. My back hurt so much. The operated area hurt like frozen shoulder," and added, "When I was bathing I suddenly felt it with my hand, it felt like a stone," sensing something was wrong. She explained the urgent trip to the hospital, saying, "So I told my mom to feel it, I was so shocked and said let's go to the hospital quickly. I ran there that same day."
She now faces her post-surgery scars and changed body with confidence. Seo Jeong-hee said she sometimes feels stares at public baths, noting, "They stare and whisper. Then I just say, 'I'm Seo Jeong-hee,'" showing a cool reaction.
She even addressed the attention focused on the surgical area, saying, "They want to see the scene of my breast. How did the breast change. There are people who want to see that. I don't hide it," showing the courage to accept the traces of her illness as part of herself.
