Actor Lee Seo-jin will take the stage in a play for the first time in his 27-year career.
Lee Seo-jin will appear in the play "Uncle Vanya," which runs May 7-31 at LG Arts Center Seoul, LG SIGNATURE Hall.
"Uncle Vanya" is produced by LG Arts Center and directed by Son Sang-kyu, who earned both critical and commercial recognition for the play "The Lives of Others." It is one of the masterpieces by Russia's great writer Anton Chekhov and remains one of the most frequently performed classics on stages worldwide. It portrays the story of ordinary people whose lives are shaken when they drift out of the everyday orbit, including "Vanya" and "Sonya," who devoted their lives to their home, family and its order.
Lee Seo-jin plays the protagonist Vanya, who constantly voices dissatisfaction and doubt about life yet keeps affection for his family and devotion to his dreams. Having shown an unlimited acting range across dramas and films, Lee Seo-jin will meet the audience at close range and expand his own acting world once again.
