Cortis, who is set to make a comeback in April, took home their fourth rookie award trophy at a music awards show.
Cortis (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Gunho) won the 'D Awards Dreams Silver Label' (D AWARDS DREAMS SILVER LABEL), given to the top newcomer, at the 2nd D Awards (D Awards with upick) held on the 11th at Hwajeong Gymnasium, Korea University, in Seongbuk District, Seoul. That day the five members delivered their acceptance remarks via video.
Cortis offered heartfelt remarks: "The once-in-a-lifetime rookie award was made possible thanks to COER (the fandom name). We truly love and appreciate you. The songs, choreography and videos for our debut album were created together by the members. The worries and pressure were significant, but each reaction from the fans became a reward and a direction for us to move forward." They added, "I think the rookie award is given as encouragement to do well going forward. We will work to show you a side that makes COER proud. Using the award we received today as momentum, we will return with a new album that reflects our own color. Please watch how much more fun and cool Cortis will become."
At their debut Cortis swept K-pop's firsts, bests and shortest records, winning rookie awards at the 2nd D Awards, the 2025 MAMA Awards, the 10th anniversary Asia Artist Awards 2025, and the 40th Golden Disc Awards. Snatching the title of "best newcomer" as soon as they appeared on the music scene, they are accelerating preparations for a new album aimed at an April comeback.
Meanwhile, on the 13th at 2 p.m. Cortis will release the single "Mention Me," an insert song from the highly anticipated animation GOAT. GOAT is a new work from Hollywood studio Sony Pictures Animation that brings together the production team behind K-pop Demon Hunters. NBA superstar Stephen Curry is participating as a producer.
